Trusted Health Names Kate Kline as President
Former ZocDoc Exec Brings Two Decades of Healthcare Leadership Experience to Lead Expanded Enterprise Go-to-Market Strategy for Trusted Works
Today Trusted Inc., the leading labor marketplace for healthcare professionals, announced the hire of Kate Kline as President. Kline’s focus at Trusted will be to progress its enterprise go-to-market strategy for the Trusted Works platform, healthcare's first purpose-built staffing platform designed to make flexible staffing a differentiator for the health systems that leverage it. In her new role, Kline will lead the charge in bringing this new technology for clinical workforce management to health systems, empowering them to match the right clinician to the right role in the most efficient manner so they can focus on what matters most, delivering quality patient care.
Works empowers employers with a true data-driven approach to staffing, helping hospitals easily react to fluctuations in demand, driven by both predictable needs like seasonality and population growth, and unpredictable needs like callouts and spikes in acuity and census. Works is leveraged across Missouri-based health system Mercy, spanning 45 hospitals in four states and more than 40,000 employees. Since the launch of Mercy Works On Demand, the system has cut its agency spend by 50 percent, saving over 5 million dollars within the first months of system-wide implementation. Mercy also achieved its target fill rate of 86 percent for the last several months and decreased total cost to deliver care by 10 percent.
“Kate has a deep expertise in technology enablement for health systems at the enterprise level,” said Trusted CEO and Co-Founder Lennie Sliwinski. “Her experiences leading growth alongside health system partners at Advisory Board and ZocDoc are ideal for accelerating the expansion of Works technology to more health systems throughout the country. The need for flexible, on-demand staffing is not slowing down, and I’m excited to work with her as we push Works to its next level of growth.”
Kline brings a rich history as an innovative leader in the healthcare space to Trusted. Most recently, she was a President at ZocDoc. During her tenure the company grew its healthcare provider network by 50 percent – building a profitable enterprise with annual revenue up by more than 35% before the pandemic – and continued year-over-year growth in 2020. She was also a part of the team that secured $150 million in new growth financing for ZocDoc in 2021. Prior to that, she spent 14 years at the Advisory Board Company, a consulting firm focused on health care organizations and educational institutions, where she advanced to serve as Executive Vice President of Consulting and Management, overseeing the firm’s fastest growing division. Her hire follows that of Trusted’s first CFO, Beatrice Pang, in 2022.
Kline said, “Over the course of my 17 years in healthcare, I’ve seen that the most disruptive, effective companies are laser-focused on eliminating pain points to create a health system that works better for everyone. Trusted has proven that they are that company for healthcare staffing. I’m thrilled to bring my passion for industry transformation to a company committed to making staffing sustainable for health systems and nurses alike.”
