Experience

24 months of role experience is required.

24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required.

Experience with Epic is required.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license

Additional Details:

Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Primarily a Medical floor with a little surgical overflow. Respiratory, GI, anything medical that you wouldn't do surgery on, behavioral health- if pts been in ER for more than 1 day will room up here to work on d/c plan.

Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must be able to read and interpret tele. Must be willing to take students, may be precept new travelers- please note on interview they are willing.

RNs are required to read and interpret own strips. Currently have SpaceLab but are transitioning to Philips by end of June.

Weekend Requirement: 5 weekend shifts in a 6 week period- travelers are utilized to fill in gaps.

Holiday Requirement: Yes- if there is a need

Floating Requirements: Will float between MedSurg 5, MedSurg 6, and a 9 bed overflow unit. Can also go to any like units in the system- Boise Medical Center 8mi away and Nampa Medical Center- both about 8 miles away. Could also float to ER for holds or to be a 1:1.

Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided: Any color as long as clean and professional.

Will also have online modules to complete prior to start of assignment.
