Requirements
Experience
Travel experience is preferred.
24 months of Intensive Care Unit experience is required.
3 months of experience with Epic is preferred.
References
Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Washington license or compact license

Guaranteed Hours: 36

Skills required: cardiac rhythm interpretation, medication titration, proning, knowledgeable about hypothermia protocol, chest tubes, drains, invasive line monitoring (a-lines, CVP).

Patient Types: stronger in Medical than CV/surgical is preferred -Medical ICU: DKA, DTs, Multisystem failure, ARDs, CIWA/ETOCH, sepsis, PNA, COVID (could have mixed assignment) -Surgical ICU: Open abdomen, thoracotomies -Neuro (rarely neuro/trauma ICU): CVA, intracranial hemorrhage, craniotomy/craniectomy, EVDs, ICP Monitoring -CVICU – CABG/TAVR (24-48 hr post op), fem-pop bypass, AAA repair -Travelers are not expected to care for: CRRT, impella, balloon pumps, ECMO

Charting System/Equipment: EPIC, BD Alaris IV Pumps, Pyxis (medication dispensing).

Floating: Respiratory Unit (Medical Floor), Surgical, Tele, PCU or to the ED to be Helping Hands.

Scheduling: every other weekend rotation; Night shift: will attempt to cluster shifts together as possible.

Scrub Color: Any color – must be professional.
