Additional Details:
Previous perm staff must be gone for 2 years before they are eligible to return in a traveler capacity. No exceptions.
Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.
LPNs only: Must have previously worked on at least (1) a travel assignment with Trusted and have a reference from that assignment
Roles requiring a state licensure only: Cannot have any licensure hits
Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekends: Every Other
Patient Types:
Ortho: Post Op knee replacement, Hip Replacment, Hip Fractures, Shoulder Replacement GU: TURBT, TURP, Bladder biopsy, etc.
General: Hemicolectomy, Cholecystectomy, Appy, Hernia Repair, etc. Cath Lab: post peripheral interventions, dialysis cath insertions, etc
Required Skill: Transfuse Blood
No self-scheduling.
Schedules are discussed with staff and Set schedules are usually followed depending on staff preference and personal needs.
Schedule is adjusted accordingly when vacations and holidays need to be covered.
No block scheduling.
Holidays: May be asked to go into the Holiday Rotation.
Holidays are based on a rotating schedule.
No On Call. Standby is on EA. EA is given for low census, 4 hours at a time.
Floating:
Floating is on a rotating basis if needed on another unit. Last Float to another unit is kept track by the charge nurse and rotated to the next staff member.
Can be voluntary also.
Floating is not considered if covering the IRF(rehab unit). Staff is shared between both units as needed.
May be floated to any other MS, MS-Tele, or IMC unit to care for lower acuity patients
Dress Code: Scrubs - Navy Blue or White
Scrubs are not provided.
Orientation: 1 day with Educator, 1-2 days with preceptor
