Patient Types: Cardiac medical and post-surgical/procedures—CHF, angina, acute MI, NSTEMI, cardiac arrest, arrhythmias, TAVR, watchman, CABG, MVR, AVR, EP studies, pacemaker/AICD, TEE, TTE, stress tests, s/p cardiac cath All beds have telemetry monitored on the unit
Skills required: RN: NO more that 6 days RTO (NO HOLIDAYS) is accepted at this time Please ask all travelers about charge experience and include in the offer info if they have/have not worked in a CRN capacity Chest Tubes, temp pacemakers (preferred not required), Cardiac drips (Cardizem, amiodarone) – protocols for rate changes Reading/Interpreting Rhythm strips
Floating: If yes, where? Rarely, if so only to the other cardiac unit (RN and Tech) May also rarely by required to float to Med/Surg
Orientation: (facility and unit) Hospital orientation 1 shift on unit
Weekend rotation: Every other
