36 hours per week. E/O Weekend, E/O Holiday.
Required Exp: Minimum 1 year IMCU experience plus 2+ years recent medsurg and tele experience, neuro care, MIs, trachs are required. be able to care for patients with complex medical needs Auto med dispensing and must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips. Tele test on day 1.
Preferred Exp: critical care experience.
Unit sees mix of IMCU, neurology, and medsurg patients. High volume of neuro, medicine and cardiology patients including care for chronic vents, trachs, and high acuity heart failure.
27 beds with an average patient ratio of 1:3 (IMCU), 1:4 or 1:4-5 if MedSurg patients.
Nurses Only - BMC does not have telemetry technicians. Candidates are required to take and pass an advanced Dysrhythmia exam after an offer is extended and before accepting. 3 attempts to pass. Passing score is an 80% or the minimum of the angoff score. Will accept a previously completed exam if it's within 1 year of start date. Will also take a tele test day 1 of orientation.
Prefer 1 reference from last travel assignment. Supervisor title not accepted.
