24 months of Emergency Department experience is required.
References
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 36 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Guaranteed Hours 36

Weekend Requirements: Every 3rd weekend

Holiday Requirements: Every 3rd holiday

Is there call or a standby requirement: No

Floating Requirements: Rare - may have to respond to emergencies (Code Blue/Rapid Response) in other areas of hospital.

Beds/Trauma Bays: 7 beds - 2 of these are trauma bays. Ambulance bay has 2 beds.

Nurse/Patient Ratios: 3 nurses staffed at all times in the ER for the 7 beds. Typically 1:3-4, dependent on acuity.

Common diagnoses/Types of patients: All typical ER patients. Very busy ER. Trauma (slipping/tripping/falls, MVAs, rock climbing/hiking, ATV/UTV, skiing, ortho, livestock injuries), stroke (stabilize & transfer), CP, etc.

Experience/Must have skills: Need to be comfortable managing vented patients until transferred. Must have experience in similar hospital setting.

Certifications: PALS or ENPC

Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy blue
