UW Health requires TWO TB SKIN TESTS (PPDs) for onboarding. BLOOD TESTS ARE NOT ACCEPTED 1st PPD must be uploaded NO later than one week prior to start date (and must be dated within 12 weeks prior to start date). 2nd PPD must be uploaded within 30 days from start date (please note- assignments may be terminated if traveler does not meet compliance within 30 days).
40 hours/week, Days, 8 hour variable shifts, Monday - Friday. Start time will vary from 7:00am - 9:00am. Saturday rotation.
Do not submit travelers who have or will have expiring licenses and/or certifications during time frame of entire assignment. Traveler will automatically be declined.
The sonographer assists with transthoracic echo, transesophageal and stress testing; dobutamine, treadmill exercise stress echo and carotid duplex. The sonographer communicates preliminary impressions of examination results to reading and supervising physicians. All examinations are performed within standard protocols on adults and geriatric patients, and occasionally on adolescents and pediatric age groups. The sonographer performs examinations using both stationary and portable equipment.
Experience: Minimum one year cardiac experience required
Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.
Licensure and Certification: Registered in echocardiography (RCS or RDCS).
Education: Successful completion of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CHAAHEP) approved ultrasound program, Associate Degree in Biological Sciences, Radiology, Ultrasound, or relevant health sciences field.
Floating Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the traveler's competency skills/experience.
The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the traveler’s assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.
