Requirements

Experience

12 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.

24 months of Psychiatric Unit experience is required from any number of months.

3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Massachusetts license

Additional Details:

Need 1 RN manager or director reference. Must have academic medical center experience or experience in a 500+ bed facility.

Must be fully vaccinated (exemptions are review on a very limited basis).

We treat patients with diverse types of mental health issues (anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, dual diagnosis patients: Detox here on the unit while treating mental health issues), and some medically acute patients (IVs, CPAPs, Wound Care, diabetic care).

Skill Sets Required: Proficient in using automatic medication dispensing system (Omni Cell); proficient in electronic health records documentation, proficient in the use of psychotropic medications and side effects;

Able to assume the role of charge nurse;

Able to complete admissions and discharges.

Competent in the use of IV pumps.

Competent in care of a diabetic patients.

Patient Population: Adults ages 18 to 65 years.

Rotating Shifts Required: Yes for Day Rotate. Rotation not required for Night positions.
