Travelers are expected to fill holes but managers will try to accommodate block scheduling as schedule allows, open to weekenders if traveler would like to work every weekend but that is not required
Weekend Requirement: every other or 2 weekends per month is standard, could be higher to meet needs of department
Holiday Requirement: rotate in with regular staff
Must work at least 3 of the following 6 dates: Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Years Eve, New Years
Is there Call or a Standby requirement: no
Floating Requirements: within skillset, all staff float between all MedSurg units. higher acuity patients would be given to core staff
Nurse Patient Ratios: typical ratio for all MedSurg units is 1:5 up to 1:6 at times, ratio would be adjusted down for higher acuity patients
Common diagnoses/Types of patients hem/Onc, chemo
Experience or 'Must have' skills: level 1 trauma experience required. experience at a larger facility with a lot of surgeries/high acuity patients, must be comfortable with lines, chest tubes, hem/Onc and chemo experience preferred
Must have solid experience as an RN - at least 1 yr on first job. 1 or more yrs of Level 1 or VERY Large hospital experience required.
Charge RN's have ACLS
Unit 5 South hematology oncology
ONC cert NOT required but would love candidates with experience/ Manager will teach clinician how to administer CHEMO - can be a great learning opportunity
Travel experience with extension is preferred.
Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided?: any color, needs to be solid color and professional
