Must be able to circulate in OR.
In addition to ensuring that our Traveler RNs are able to circulate the ORs, we also need to screen for competency in normal newborn assessments and routine baby care. We do have the expectation that these nurses will float to Postpartum on occasion and this requires care of the infant as well as the mom.
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: High-risk OB and routine obstetric care
Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios?: 1:1-2 labors, 1:2-3 antepartum
Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes
Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: Tele in recovery after a c-section
Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 0630-1900, 1830-0700 // Self scheduling, can accommodate most schedule requests
Weekend Requirements: Every third weekend, but could be up to every other based on unit need
Holiday Requirements: 1 major, 1 minor
Floating Requirements: Will float to Postpartum, occasional float to the house to be a "sitter"
Scrub Color/Dress code: Surgical scrubs provided.
Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
