UW Health requires TWO TB SKIN TESTS (PPDs) for onboarding. BLOOD TESTS ARE NOT ACCEPTED 1st PPD must be uploaded NO later than one week prior to start date (and must be dated within 12 weeks prior to start date). 2nd PPD must be uploaded within 30 days from start date (please note- assignments may be terminated if traveler does not meet compliance within 30 days).
Guaranteed Hours: 40
Shift Information: Rotating 8 hour shifts with variable start times between 0630 and 1030 am.
Call on weekdays (once per week). **Required to stay late with staffing needs.
Advanced Endoscopy experience including ERCP, EUS, EBUS, and Celiac Plexus Block. Pulmonary procedures including Bronchoscopy, Thoracentesis, chest tubes, and pleurx drains required.
5-10 years of experience assisting in GI or pulmonary medical procedures; basic cardiac monitoring experience
Prior traveling experience preferred.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Formal training or experience in medical specialty (i.e. LPN, MA, Advanced Nursing Assistant (CNA)) - Preferred
Completion of the SGNA Associates Program - Preferred
Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the traveler's competency skills/experience.
The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization.
During the traveler’s assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.
