Requirements
Experience
3 months of travel experience is required.
24 months of Progressive Care Unit experience is required.
3 months of experience with Epic is preferred.
References
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a New Mexico license or compact license

Additional Details:

Travelers must have a permanent address outside of the 75 mile straight line radius of intended facility, not driving distance.

Anyone granted a Covid vaccine exemption must comply with weekly testing and proof of a negative COVID-19 test.

Guaranteed Hours: 36

Holiday Coverage Required: Yes

Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs.

On call, weekends and holidays required.

Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location.

Traveling pairs are not guaranteed same schedules or same shifts

Nurse-Patient Ratio: 1/4 will go 1/5-6 if needed based on acuity of patients.

Required and not provided by the facility. White scrub top. Scrub pants in sangria red, plum purple, hunter green or black.

Please note time off requests must be disclosed with initial submission to be considered for approval.

Time off requested after the acceptance date will not be approved

No holiday RTO will be approved for travelers

2 years experience current required in an 18 plus bed telemetry/progressive care unit required

Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.

At alternate location-Will float to med/surg. Will float to ICU to care for tele patients boarding in ICU. Will float to ED to care for admitted inpatients holding for bed or as helping hands.
