Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 24 months in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

If you have a multistate/compact nursing license, you will be required to complete a one time 6 hour suicide prevention training according to the WA state regulations. (Nursing positions only).

RTO must be listed at time of submission.

All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.

Floating required to Post partum / Antepartum - may float to sister facilities that do Mom/Baby.

Midwifery clients, private OBs, Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery, Community care clinics as well

Functions in the role of Baby Nurse during the delivery and continues care of the newborn until transfer to post partum- HARD STOP REQUIREMENT do not screen

Heparin, Insulin, Magnesium Sulfate

CANDIDATES MUST - CIRCULATE and provide NB care including eyes and Vit K injections - thighs and newborn assessments - DO NOT SCREEN to facility if they do not have these skillsets HARDSTOP REQUIREMENT

All candidates who were a previous perm employee of ANY Providence affiliated facility must be separated from the health system for a min of 3 months to qualify for a travel position. No exceptions.

Floating: All travelers are expected to float to another unit within their scop of practice if needed. The facility has a designated float team that floats first however, in the event there is a need at another campus travelers will float first before perm staff. All facilities are within a 40-mile radius or less. In the event that the traveler needs to float, it their responsibility to find transportation to the facility they’re floated to. Traveler’s refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.

Modules:

  • Modules are non-billable, average 16 hours spent. Over 20 hours requires PM approval
  • Modules are completed pre-start, and annually
  • Time spent on modules is self-reported, completion is recorded in Workramp transcripts
