Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required from any number of months.
24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience is required from any number of months.
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a South Dakota license or compact license

Patient Ratios:

Antepartum: 1:3 Inactive Labor: 1:2 Active Labor: 1:1 Postpartum/Couplet care: 1:3 couplets

Preferred: Certification in inpatient obstetrics, electronic fetal monitoring, or inpatient antepartum

Skills required:

Must care for couplets Would love a candidate with Level 2 nursery baby experience IV starts, cervical checks, phlebotomy, magnesium sulfate, blood administration, insulin, circulate C-sections, C-section recovery care

Education required: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing

Floating: If yes, where? Will be required to work Postpartum/Couplet care throughout the contract

Would love a candidate with Level 2 nursery baby experience

Orientation: (facility and unit) 4 days with preceptor – 3 in L&D and 1 in PP

Scheduling:

Shift Times: 12-hour shifts, 0630/1830, variable shifts, must work Nights/Days throughout contract Weekend rotation: every other No call Holiday Expectations: holidays as needed Approval of time off: Manager Approval
