Travel Nurse (RN) - Critical Care Float Pool

Additional Details:

Guaranteed Hours: 48

ICU only (SICU, CCU, MICU).

May float to IMCU once per pay period.

Need RN's with experience in both ICU and PCU settings.

Will work shifts in both settings so proficiency in both areas in a larger hospital setting is imperative.

Unit EC Main

Less acute patients

Certification: NIHSS or ASLS

Preferred: TNCC

Patient Ratio: 1/4

Weekend: Every 3 - 4th weekend

Holidays: Every other

Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue

Shifts: 645a, 645p, some mids 11a, 3p

Floating: Only to North campus

Patient Types / Population: Peds to geriatrics, get trauma here, will keep some of trauma, some neuro keep but a lot of neuro trauma ship out, ortho keep some and ship some, no burns kept here, are a CVA center

Unit MICU SICU and CCU

WIl float between these all.

Certifications: ASLS OR NIHSS

Patient Ratios: 1/2 depends on acuity; open heart 1 to 1 - travelers do not need to have open heart experience and will only take if experience

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Holidays: Must be flexible and work in with core staff

Scrub: Color - forest green or white pants and white top

Shifts: 645a, 645p

Floating: Float within their pod or to 4AB stepdown unit. May float to ED to task

Patient Types: Sepsis, DKA, PN, ARDS, MODS, CV surgeries, post vascular procedures, CRRT (do not need experience in CRRT), IABP (do not need experience)

Additional:

Must have strong ICU skills

This is high acuity ICU - Must be well rounded and have medical, surgical and some cardiac experience, do not need to be able to take fresh hearts

No self scheduling

No block scheduling

Nurses will be assigned to one unit as their primary unit but will float to the others as they run as a pod
