Requirements
Experience
Travel experience is required.
24 months of Progressive Care Unit experience is required.
3 months of experience with Epic is preferred.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Washington license or compact license

36 Guaranteed Hours

Floating: When census is low at Covington, you may be required to float to Auburn Medical Center (10 minutes away) to units within or below your skillset Confirm that they understand that they have to float to Auburn ED Holding: Could float to ED if they are holding patients, this is rare though

Patient Types Travelers are Expected to Care For: PCU: DKA (no insulin gtts), Sepsis, COPD. PNA, continual Bipap, General Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Stroke, CIWA – consider RN’s with STRONG Med/Tele experience who have administered Cardizem & Heparin drips and have experience with CIWA patients for PCU.

Required: PCU: Cardiac interpretation, Cardizem and Heparin gtts, CIWA, Amiodarone and nitro drips (preferred), chest tubes

Scheduling: Travelers are used to fill in the gaps in the schedule.

May be roughly based on an every other weekend schedule, but you may have to work back to back weekends based vacations and leaves

RTO: Up to 7 days

If over holiday, need NM approval

If requesting time off, must be willing to add to the end of the assignment (we can approve time off as long as no other travelers are taking the same timeframe)

Orientation: General Hospital Orientation for 1-2 days One shift on the unit

Traveler Telemetry Competency Required

Required to be completed and passed prior to start. SimpliFi Compliance is responsible for grading this
