Guaranteed Hours: 36

Every Other Weekend

RTO: Cannot be consecutive. No Holiday RTO. No RTO the day before or after a holiday.

Cook is a mandatory float facility.

Units included in float pool: Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, Trauma ICU, Neuro ICU

Cook has the ability to request that any clinician float outside of their “home” facility as long as the floating does not exceed 50 miles. Travelers may receive notification to float 2 hours before their shift.

There are no home units. Your clinician could be floated to a variety of units, including outside of their primary area of competency. If they are floated outside of their primary competency, the team-based model will be used.

Required Skills: Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias, Multi-system organ failure, Arterial Line Management, Central Lines, Continuous IV sedation, Titrate Cardiac and Vasoactive Drips, BiPAP/CPAP, Ventilated Patients & Management, Interpretation of ABG's, Suctioning, Isolation Precautions

NIHSS Acceptable certifications: Apex, and BlueCloud/AAMCE
