Requirements
Experience
12 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience is required from any number of months.
3 months of experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Washington license or compact license

Vaccinations

48/hr work week is an option

If you have a multistate license, you will be required to complete a 1-time 6-hour suicide prevention training according to WA state regulations.

Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, with at least 2 years of experience.

Patient Types: General medical patients (pneumonia, acute kidney injury, renal failure, bowel obstruction, etc) All post-operative medical status patients, all medical level trauma patients Total joints: knees, hips, shoulders (required experience) Back surgeries (Back Surgeon operating on Tues/Wed) Spinal fusions (anterior and posterior approach) Trauma: fractures femur

Skills required: Experience with orthopedic patients is required. CPAP, Bipap w/support of RT. Experience with post-op patients is required. Wound vacs, JP/Hemovacs, SCDs, experience heparin drips, protonix, octreotide drips (standard protocol, titrate per lab orders)

Floating: If yes, where? Other MedSurg units as needed

Scheduling: Weekend rotation: Yes, every other weekend Nights shift weekends are considered Friday/Sat

On call? If so, what is that schedule? No

Holiday Expectations: 1-2 holidays per contract
