Additional Details:
UW Health requires TWO TB SKIN TESTS (PPDs) for onboarding. BLOOD TESTS ARE NOT ACCEPTED 1st PPD must be uploaded NO later than one week prior to start date (and must be dated within 12 weeks prior to start date). 2nd PPD must be uploaded within 30 days from start date (please note- assignments may be terminated if traveler does not meet compliance within 30 days).
Guaranteed hours: 36
This position will work in Day Treatment (infusions, transfusions, chemo) or Campground (pre/post recovery for general anesthesia, day treatment overflow, miscellaneous prep for other testing- IV and foley placement, etc).
Shift: Day/Evening. Combination of 8 and 12 hour shifts, with varied start times between 0600 and 0930. Department open and staffed 0600-2000.
Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years.
Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.
Pediatric experience required.
Pre/Post/PACU experience required for Campground.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in nursing
Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the traveler's competency skills/experience. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the traveler’s assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.
