Additional Details:
Shift: 36 hrs/week, Day/Night, variable 8/12 hour shifts, 0700-1530, 0700-1930, 1900-0730, 2300-0730, Monday-Friday and every other weekend. Flexibility is required per operational needs of department.
Floating - Travelers are the first. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the traveler’s assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.
Must have at least 2 years of true Pediatric ICU (PICU) experience. PICU float experience does not count. Must be willing to work in the Peds ICU, IMC and GC units.
Trach experience is preferred.
Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years.
Education: Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred.
RTO Requirements: Manager will review/approve during candidate review process. If the request is more than 1 week and is consecutive (no hours in the week), Vaya will add 1 week at the end of the contract. Generally, all job postings will state that weekend rotations and some holidays will be required. Some units are stricter than others regarding holidays (ED allows for 1 holiday off).
