Additional Details:
Travel Pairs: If you are in a relationship, EMMC will not schedule you on the same days. If you are not in a relationship, you can be scheduled for the same days if not on the same shift/unit. Managers will not guarantee the same schedule for travel pairs. Housing in ME becomes more expensive in the summer months, beginning in May. Be sure to confirm you are comfortable with housing options before applying.
Roles requiring state licensure only: License should not expire within 45 days following start date.
Guaranteed Hour: 48
Patient Types:
-Cardiac medical and post-surgical/procedures—heart failure, angina, acute MI, NSTEMI, cardiac arrest, arrhythmias, TAVR, watchman, CABG, MVR, AVR, EP studies, pacemaker/AICD, TEE, TTE, stress tests, s/p cardiac cath
-All beds have telemetry monitored on the unit
Skills required:
-Chest Tubes, temp pacemakers (preferred not required), Cardiac drips (Cardizem, amiodarone) – protocols for rate changes.
-Reading/Interpreting Rhythm strips
Floating:
-Rarely, if so only to the other cardiac unit (RN and Tech).
-May also rarely by required to float to Med/Surg.
Scheduling:
-Weekend rotation: Every other
-On Call: No Call
-Holiday Expectations: No Holiday RTO is accepted at this time
- RTO: Okay to approve up to 6 days, must extend if requesting a full week off.
