Guaranteed Hours 36

Facility requires clinical prescreen. If recommended, the hiring manager has 24-hours to accept/decline this candidate.

Common diagnosis / Types of patients Neuro- laminectomy, cervical fusion, LESI, belly surgery-ostomies, hernia repair, joint replacement-total hips/knees. PICC, TPN, Lipids. Fem pop bypass, dialysis catheter insertions, BKA, AKA. DM (dialysis is also located on the 3rd floor) PCA, some epidurals, iv abx, chronic pain (narcotics), sepsis, urgent OR cases.

Experience or 'Must have' skills Must have total joint experience. Understanding of PCA pumps, reversal drugs (narcan), sepsis management. Experience with TPN/ Lipids. Narcotic usage. 1 year of experience- surgical experience required.

Are RN's required to titrate drips : Heparin. Common titratable &/or set rate drips Titrated per protocol.

Will not guarantee block scheduling. Discuss with leader for any scheduling needs. Schedules out 6 weeks in advance.

Weekend Requirements Every other weekend. Sat. Sun for both shifts.

Holiday Requirements In the holiday rotation with core staff

Is there Call or a Standby requirement: none

Floating Requirements: Float to like units only. If floated to higher acuity it would be to work as a help all and not take a patient load.

Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs Provided? Black

Unit/Department Specific Orientation 1- 12 hour shift on shift of hire and unit of hire. First day is 12-14 hours to do comps, computer based modules, general orientation.

Additional Notes fast paced, heavy patients. Can get 8-12 surgery admites per day as well as discharging patients at time
