Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required.

24 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience is required.

Experience with Epic is preferred.

References

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 36 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license

Guaranteed 36 hours per week

RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated.

Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend

Scrub/Uniform Color: Navy

Common Patient Diagnosis: Orthopedic surgeries ( knee, hip, shoulder), Orthopedic injuries, Oncology, Post Surgicals such as hysterectomies, breast recontraction, plastic surgery, Urological cases and abdominal cases. Behavioral patients awaiting medical clearance

Float: 2 Med-Surg Units and PCU

Patient Experience Challenges / Focus: Post operative patients meeting goals to be ready for discharge home. Lots of patient moveent on unit, many discharges and admissions.

Looking for orthopedic and medical surgical experience.
