12 months of Step Down Unit experience is required from any number of months.

Candidates must provide 2 charge/lead references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

Nurses Only - BMC does not have telemetry technicians. Candidates are required to take and pass an advanced Dysrhythmia exam after an offer is extended and before accepting. 3 attempts to pass. Passing score is an 80% or the minimum of the angoff score. Will accept a previously completed exam if it's within 1 year of start date. Will also take a tele test day 1 of orientation.

Prefer 1 reference from last travel assignment. Supervisor title not accepted.

Required:

Minimum 1 year IMCU experience plus 2+ years recent medsurg and tele experience

Neuro care, MIs, trachs are required.

Must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips.

Tele test on day 1.

Preferred: Critical Care experience

Unit sees mix of IMCU, neurology, and medsurg patients.

High volume of neuro, medicine and cardiology patients including care for chronic vents, trachs, and high acuity heart failure.

Patient Ratio: IMCU: 1/3, Med Surg: 1/4-5
