Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required from any number of months.

3 months of travel experience is preferred from any number of months.

12 months of Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit experience is required from any number of months.

ADN completion required

Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred from any number of months

3 months of experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license

Vaccinations

Guaranteed Hours: 36 - hours not guaranteed week of orientation

Floating: Float to NICU and PICU, as needed

Education: ASN or BSN; BSN preferred

12 - 18 months in high acuity cardiac PICU - Required

Special Skills: High acuity cardiac PICU with open heart, heart transplants, and open chests

Patient Population:

Caring for a variety of ages including neonates/infants up to adult congenital patient.

Provide nursing care of cardiac and cardiovascular surgery patients.

Provide nursing care for the hemodynamically compromised patients and patients with impending respiratory failure.

Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where the unit is closed and orientation week.
