Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required from any number of months.

12 months of Progressive Care Unit experience is preferred from any number of months.

3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license

Med/Tele/PCU RN 6025

An interview may not be available prior to offer.

Guaranteed Hours: 36

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.

Floating: First to float. All areas as helping hands, PCU for full patient load of PCU, MS for full patient assignment, some ER Holds/ boarding.

Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday

Must have PCU experience & be able to read strips.

Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:4-5, occasional 5-6 on nights, PCU level care overflow on the unit 1:3

Common diagnosis / Types of patients: adults and geriatrics, Cardiac caths, EP studies, pacers, and ETOH, Covid Bipap, occasional general surgical with heart history, medical patients with cardiac history, penumonia covid, acute on chronic conditions, influenza, sepsis

Experience or Must have skills Tele/ cardiac RN wanted with PCU experience.

RNs are required to titrate drips.

Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix, (low dose Dopamine), No Levo

RNs are required to read and interpret their own strips.

Call or a Standby requirement: n/a

Scrub Color: Any color

Additional Notes: More of a tele/ cardiac unit.

Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.

RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
