Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia exam prior to accepting (Lethal rhythms will be pass or fail and only one chance)
Cannot have another job with on assignment
Must be available for 2-3 days of day shift for orientation
Strict no cell phone policy, hospital provides work phone number for traveler to share
Ratios 45-60 patients (monitoring virtually)
Job Duties: This complex position is responsible for performing remote surveillance for multiple locations, specific to cardio-pulmonary rhythms via a central monitoring station, and for recognizing, recording and reporting potentially dangerous rhythm changes and arrhythmias following established standards and procedures per applicable regulatory requirements. Work is primarily performed in a centralized monitoring unit under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Each Technician can potentially watch up to 60 patients due to the highly advanced IT technology capabilities.
Is there a call or standby requirement? No, but can occur if the census drops and someone is on low census.
Floating Requirements Opportunity to cross train to Virtual Patient Companion or Clinical Connection Specialists.
