CVICU is a 18 bed unit that supports three surgical lines, cardiac, thoracic, and vascular at the ICU level. Open heart, complex thoracic and vascular patients recover on the unit with our specialized trained nurses. Patients are stabilized and supported by Impella, IBP, CRRT and ECMO.

The unit also supports complex cases coming from Cath lab, structural heart program and EP lab, ER and clinic. We are looking for nurses who have 1 year of experience with this patient population.

Nursing ratio is 1:2, however depending on the patient can be a 1:1.

Required Certification: NIHSS - AHA or APEX
