Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required from any number of months.

Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.

24 months of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience is required from any number of months.

3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a California license

Vaccinations

COVID vaccination required. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

RNs only: Cannot have a license that is on probation, suspended, or has board proceedings that are pending.

Travel pairs are not supported - each clinician must apply and receive an offer separately

3/25 or 4/8 start

Must be comfortable with level III neonates

Travelers could float to 1-2 units in a 12 hr shift.

Weekend Requirements: do 4 weekend shifts per schedule periods which is 4 weeks.

Holiday Requirements: Must be available for 2 out of 3 major winter holidays and 2 out of 3 summer holidays. Winter holidays are Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. Summer holidays are Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day.

Special Equipment: (For example: IV Pumps: Type; Invasive Monitoring; Monitors: Type; ECMO; Ventilators: Type; ABG: Type) Vents - IMV & HFOV Respiratory available 24/7 for support

Patient Population (Diagnoses): Prematurity, Rule out sepsis, Respiratory Distress, Occasional postoperative patients.

Travel nurses are expected to admit NICU patients.

HFOV preferred.
