Requirements
Experience
36 months of role experience is required.
24 months of Operating Room experience is required.
Experience with Epic is required.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license

Schedule:

  • We do not do surgeries on Thursday-travelers do not work Thursdays. Start time is 0700 if surgeries are scheduled. If no surgeries are scheduled will give an estimated start time and leave time. Assignments for where they will be working Preop, PACU, or OR will be made 1 week ahead.
  • Do have an expectation of all staff to be there no matter if there are cases or not, if no cases will be check expirations, some offer to go to ER to help task and start IVs. Everyone stays until the last PACU is gone.

Weeknight/Call Requirements: Yes- would cover call if needed end of shift to 0700 next day. Will be expected to be on shift at 0700 if called in night prior if there are scheduled cases but would let them go home after scheduled cases. Around 14 days of call (weeknight and weekend) per month.

Weekend/Call and Holiday/Call Requirements : Yes- will cover 24 hour call if needed

What is call response time: 30 minutes

Floating Requirements: Preop and PACU, may be asked to task in other departments if there are no surgeries.

Suites: 2- only 1 room running at a time

Common Cases: Choles, appys, hernia repairs, abdominal hysterectomies, hysteroscopies, D&C, colonoscopies, endoscopies, C- sections- typically not dealing with baby RT in every surgery L&D RN as backup but OR RN will become backup if RT is in ER

Experience or 'Must have' skills: Preop and PACU experience preferred.

Scrubbing required - RN's: No but would be nice to have.

Scrub Color/Dress Code: Provided Surgical scrubs
