Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required.
Experience with Epic is preferred.
References
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 36 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license

  • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Oncology and Trauma
  • Are RN's required to titrate drips?: Yes
  • Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Chemotherapy occasionally. If you hang chemo you need to be chemo certified- but not required to work the floor
  • Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Yes
  • Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: Yes- 1:10
  • Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RN's required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: Tele techs will interpret, RNs should have some tele awareness
  • Weekend Requirements: Every other
  • Holiday Requirements: Negotiated
  • Floating Requirements: Yes, to same level of care
  • Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs Provided?: Navy Blue
  • How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 2- 12 hour shifts on the unit
  • Additional Notes: Attributes that help make a nurse successful on this unit are not afraid to ask questions, being kind, and teamwork
  • RTO needed upfront. Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
