Requirements
Experience
36 months of role experience is required from any number of months.
36 months of Intensive Care Unit experience is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license

Additional Details:

Previous perm staff must be gone for 2 years before they are eligible to return in a traveler capacity. No exceptions.

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.

Roles requiring a state licensure only: Cannot have any licensure hits

Weekend Requirements: EOW

Holiday Requirements: May be asked to go in the Holiday Rotation

Floating Requirements Travelers can float to any inpatient unit, travelers are first to float - Will float to IMU

Beds: 10

Common diagnoses/Types of patients Resp distress, post arrest, acute MI, balloon pumps, vents, anyone needing vasopressor support, not ICP monitoring

Experience or 'Must have' skills:

  • Must have balloon pump experience
  • Must be comfortable with Vent management and drip titration

Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: vasopressors, levo, neo, epi, nitro, heparin, Angio, and more

Nurses must read and interpret tele
