Shift Notes: 7a-3p/3p-11p
Common diagnosis: LTC/SNF patient population: DM, COPD, Post Stroke, heart disease, fractures, dementia (Secure care tracker), Alzheimers, Rehab, chronic conditions, multiple comorbidities, and more.
Experience: Must have prior LTC/SNF experience. Minimum of 1 year of experience, prefer 2 years of experience. Will accept first time travelers, prefer experienced travelers.
Are there IV's or titratable drips?: Occasional IV antibiotics; potential PICC line management.
Are there Tele monitors?: None.
Are RN's required to attend team conferences for acute inpatient rehab?: They are required to attend Daily Huddle.
DON/Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Supervisor on every shift, available as a resource.
Physician availability after hours: NP rounds each morning M-F, 2 MDs- 1 comes in on Tu & Fr evenings, 1 comes twice a month on Weds; Off- Hours: can call the hospital for on-call provider.
Scheduler makes out the schedule 6 weeks in advance; travelers asked to stay flexible and help to fill gaps in permanent staffing. DON & ADON in house 7a - 4p.
Weekend Requirents:em Every other weekend.
Holiday Requirements: May be asked to work holidays.
Call or Standby Requirement: None; Covered by perm staff.
Floating Requirements: Can float between either floor.
Dress Code: Any color scrubs, must look professional, no big earrings/jewelry, no fake nails; hair must be up; no face tattoos.
Department Specific Orientation: 3 shifts with a preceptor.
