Requirements
Experience
12 months of travel experience is required.
24 months of Progressive Care Unit experience is required.
3 months of experience with Epic is preferred.
References
Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license

Additional Details:

Upon receipt of an offer, you will be assigned Prophecy exams that must be taken immediately. If you fail the exam twice, this may result in an immediate cancellation by the facility.

Strong cardiac skills

Must be able to read/interpret strips

Must pass EKG exam prior to start as part of credentialing

SHIFT: Rotating preferred, willing to do straight nights or other shifts. 36 Guaranteed Work Week, Every Other Weekend

Shift Options: Day, night, rotating day/night, rotating weekends

Primary Population: NSTEMI, acute coronary syndrome, cath lab with coronary intervention, chest pain, pacemakers, implantable cardiac defibrillators (ICD), bedside procedures such as cardioversions and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), congestive heart failure. Many cardiac drips and experience with titration of drips. Overflow medicine patients such as diabetes, hypertension, pneumonia, sepsis, and GI bleeds.

Patient Care: The population consists of cardiac medicine and cardiovascular subspecialties. This includes, but is not limited to: Myocardial infarction (S/P STEMI, NSTEMI) S/P cardiac arrest High risk cardiac OB Cardiac arrhythmia management (medication and device) Coronary artery disease management (pre/post-cardiac cath with/without intervention, pre-cardiac surgery) Acute heart failure management (medication and device including left ventricular assist device (LVAD))
