12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience is required from any number of months.

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

Maine Medical Center requires all candidates to have at least 1 year of Facility Trauma Level 1 experience to be considered.

Guaranteed Hours: 36

Med/surg RN’s may float to another med/surg unit with similar level of care. Floating is based on unit need and skill as well as the needs of nursing units.

All RN’s must have experience with tracheostomy’s and ready/interpreting telemetry strips

Type of Patients on Unit: Respiratory, Medical Telemetry, some surgical, sepsis, DKA, Altered Mental Status, Failure to Thrive, Respiratory Failure, and most any acute on chronic medical condition.

Any unacceptable attire: unprofessional clothing, shirts with logos other than hospital related.
