All staff may be required to work during a hurricane with all necessary safety precautions in place. Please only submit if you are willing to provide care during hurricane season.

No block scheduling allowed.

MedTele, Post Cath, Cardiac drips

Patient Diagnoses: Chest pain, CAD, DM, PVD, COPD exac, COVID+, TIA, stroke, Htn, Afib, Aflutter, Bradycardia, Tachycardia, rhythm management with cardiac drips not titrated for blood pressure, wound infection, cellulitis, GI bleed

Special Procedures/Unit Details: Pre & post angiogram/angioplasty- no sheath pulls, PPM/AICD, LINQ recorder, general surgical procedures, EGD, colonoscopy, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, wound debridement, Chest tube, central line catheter insertions, thoracentesis, paracentesis

Special Equipment: Telemetry monitoring, chest tubes, wound vacs

Requirements:

• Telemetry experience
• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• 2 years of acute care experience

No call in

RTO must be on profile and brought up in the interview or there is a high chance offer's will be rescinded.

Orientation held 5 days a week

NURSYS Reports for RNs must be sent with profile. Please ensure that the NURSYS is up to date (within 4 weeks of submission date).

Resources who worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must be separated from Ochsner Health System for 1 full year before they can return as travel.
