24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 24 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license

ACLS (Preferred)

NIHSS (Preferred)

Vaccinations

Additional Details:

Previous perm staff must be gone for 2 years before they are eligible to return in a traveler capacity. No exceptions.

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

Guaranteed Hours: 36

Types of patients: Neurosciences, DBS (Deep Brain Stimulators), Stroke, Seizures, Surgical/PostOp Spines, Neurological Disorders

Need to have overall strong Neuro experience

Would allow 3 shifts in a row but this is not a guarantee.

Weekend Requirement: Weekend day positions: Friday, Saturday and Sundays.

Weekend night positions: Friday, Saturday, and Sundays OR Saturday, Sundays, and Mondays.

Nights (weekdays): Every other weekend or 3 weekend shifts per schedule (weekend shifts = Saturday and Sundays)

Holiday Requirement Yes - travelers are expected to work into the holiday rotation

Floating Requirement Possibly to 7E, 7W, 7NE, or 10E first priority. Then offered to the rest of the hospital if needed.
