Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required from any number of months.
24 months of Intensive Care Unit experience is required from last 4 years.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license

Additional Details:

Previous perm staff must be gone for 2 years before they are eligible to return in a traveler capacity. No exceptions.

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.

Roles requiring a state licensure only: Cannot have any licensure hits

Guaranteed Hours 36

Extra shifts may be available, if traveler has preferences manager is open to working with block scheduling

Weekend Requirements every other- required. Night shift is Friday Saturday Sunday

Holiday Requirements rotates with regular staff

Floating Requirements if census is low they may float to MedSurg as needed, typically do not take a full team of patients

Beds 4

Common diagnoses/Types of patients resp failure, afib. rvr, suicide, detox, some MedSurg overflow, occasional art lines, can take pediatrics , no PCU/intermediate care in building

Are RNs required to titrate drips? yes - Common titratable &/or set rate drips propofol, Cardizem, insulin, precedex, levo, etc.

Scrub Color/Dress Code any, other than camo or orange.
