Experience

12 months of role experience is required.

18 months of Hospice experience is required.

Experience with Epic is required.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a South Dakota license or compact license

Additional Details:

Monument Health blackout dates for RTO are 8/1/24 - 8/18/24. Any RTO or special requests not included on your application will NOT be considered.

Guaranteed Hour: 40

Scheduling:

8 or 12 hour shifts, needs to work varied shifts, up to 40 hours per week
Weekend rotation - every other weekend
Holiday Expectations: yes
Will they be on call? If so, what is that schedule? No call
Approval of time off? needs approval through contract

Beds: 12

Patient Ratios: 12 bed hospice house, 1 nurse per 6 patients if all beds full; once census down to 8 patients go to one nurse and one aide

Patient Types: Terminal (hospice patients) come in for either respite, GIP (general inpatient) or routine level of care

Required Education: RN: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing

Skills required: RN: Hospice philosophy, symptom management, know terminal diagnosis criteria, cadd pump, wound care, med management, IV

Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler
