Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required.

24 months of Step Down Unit experience is required.

Experience with Cerner is preferred.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 36 months in order to be considered for this role

Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Stepdown nurses needed, not med/tele

Unit: TCU- True Stepdown Unit - Telemetry, cardiac intervention unit and tele overflow

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Fri/Sat nights, Sat/Sun for days)

Holidays: Every other holiday rotating

Scrub Color: Navy

Floating: No full vent, do have CPAP, BIPAP and Hi-flow O2

Common diagnosis/Types of patients: Post cath patients both clean and interventions; post TEE, Post cardioversion, ablations, AICD, sometimes external temp pacer patients, sometimes transcutaneous pacing, chest tubes, tube feedings, lots of drains, must be very fluent in gtts--will titrate down; gtts seen include amiodarone, cardizem, nitro, pressors, dopamine, insulin, heparin, etc.
