Travel Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit

Guaranteed hours: 36

Travelers must be separated for 1 year if previously a perm staff.

Patient Types: AFIB/RVR, DKA, HTN, COPD, ARF, s/p Heart Caths, etc.; Stroke Unit overflow -- CVA/TIA in need of TPA administration; Spinal surgical – ACDF, Laminectomy

Skills required: Titratable gtts: Cardene, Cardizem, Insulin, Heparin, Neo, Levophed – request manager approval to offer without this experience; Chest tube management, traches, Peritoneal Dialysis, ISTAT, CSF (lumbar) drains (preferred)

Must pass EKG exam.

Floating: Units: Stroke, MedSurg (1:5-6 ratios)

Scheduling: Weekend rotation: every other

Will work 4 days one week and 3 days the next week – this is mandatory

Night shift will be required to work a 5/2 schedule as illustrated below:

One group works EVERY Mon/Tues on the schedule creating a (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday week followed by working Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday the next) They work 5 on, 5 off, 2 on, 2 off;

The other group work the opposite working EVERY Wed/Thurs (Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday then followed by Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat) They work 5 off, 5 on, 2 off, 2 on

Holiday Expectations: at least 2/4 major holidays
