Guaranteed Hours: 36
Shifts: Will either request Days, Mids, or Nights when requesting a traveler. Days: 7:00AM-7:30PM; Nights: 7:00PM-7:30AM; Mids will be any combo of these shift times: 9:00AM-9:30PM, 10:00AM-10:30PM 11:00AM-11:30PM, 12:15PM-12:45AM, 1:00PM-1:30AM, 3:00PM-3:30AM. Will be scheduled 4 weeks at a time and be on a shift rotation. All shifts will work every other weekend.
Patient Population: From young to the more vulnerable.
They see a wide variety of extreme traumas (high acuity) such as MVA, penetrating wounds, gun shots and falls but the travelers will not be assigned trauma patients.
Scrubs: Any color of professional scrubs. No other facility logos permitted.
Orientation: Will accommodate start any day of the week. Will start in Human Resources and complete paperwork and obtain badge, next onto Occupational Health for Respiratory Fit Test and then will meet with Nursing Education to complete appropriate testing for their unit. All RNs will take a medication test the first day. After testing, will go to the unit to finish their shift with a Clinical Preceptor. Will be provided additional orientation to unit as needed based on RN’s skill set.
