Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required.
24 months of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience is required.
Experience with Epic is preferred.

Additional Details:

Pediatric RN is needed for this Transitional Care Unit at Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU.

This unit cares for children with ongoing health conditions. Stepdown level of care.

Trach/Vent experience REQUIRED

2 years of pediatric experience is required. General pediatric experience is okay.

The schedule typically includes six-weekend shifts per six-week schedule.

Manager will interview.

RTO should be included at the time of submission (will be approved by unit manager on WOC; no other guaranteed time off. No time off will be granted during the first of week of the traveler’s assignment), SSN, DOB, address, phone, and email. Please also make sure to address the traveler’s shift availability upfront.

VA or compact states (licensed candidates are preferred, but VCU will accept 30-day work authorization if the agency is on top of it to ensure that licensure is received within the appropriate deadline).

BSN preferred.

Facility will review all background hits, etc.

Return Staff Policy: 6 month gap to be considered as a traveler.

VCU has a natural nail policy.

Modules are completed during orientation, and vary by specialty
