Requirements

Experience

10 months of role experience is required from any number of months.

12 months of Operating Room experience is preferred from any number of months.

3 months of experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Alabama license or compact license

Vaccinations

Flu vaccination required. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

No RTO will be approved during the following dates:

-The entire month of March

-Easter Weekend: 4/18 - 4/20

-Mother’s Day Weekend: 5/10 - 5/12

-Memorial Day Weekend: 5/24 - 5/26

-Father’s Day Weekend: 6/14 - 6/16

Position is for General Trauma; also backs up Ortho/Neuro/ENT

Will accept a first time traveler with 2 years of pertinent experience.

Patient Types: General, GYN, Urology, Vascular, Ortho, Ped Dental (preferred exp, not required), Podiatry, ENT, Robotics for Gen, GYN, and Uro.

Skills required: Usual circulator skills. Strong Robot experience required. Core specialty: General, GYN, Urology, and Vascular

Floating: Only within the department- Holding Room

Scheduling:

-Take call 1 weekend day (24 hours) per month

-On call: One day a week (3p-7a) and one weekend a month FSS 3p Friday-7a Monday.

-Holiday Expectations: Take Holiday call if a holiday occurs during their contract, not to exceed 1 every 26 weeks.

-RTO approval: To go through manager

Schedule cycle: We usually cannot honor block scheduling requests during the week such as 4x10 with every Friday or every Monday off. We do try to schedule some longer weekends to allow travelers to visit back home during the contract period.
