Additional Details:

A minimum of 1 year acute care experience is required to work in acute care facilities. The following are considered acute care facilities: Hospital (General Acute Care as well as Psychiatric, Specialized and Rehabilitation Hospitals, and Long Term Acute Care or LTAC), and Ambulatory Care Facilities.

Must have at least 2 + years of experience with: Cervical exams, Infant delivery (deliveries will occasionally need the assistance of RNs while on call physician reports), Perform duties that are consistent with the standard of care and in alignment with industry standards with minimal supervision (Not a teaching hospital, no resident physicians), Practicing in a community hospital setting with a regional mission, Must have Charge level experience

Patient Ratios: AWHONN standards / 75 deliveries on unit monthly

Patient Population e.g. “geriatric, adult, peds, etc.”: Adult and newborn

Must Have Skills/Experience: Labor and delivery experience for labor positions. All need postpartum couplet care experience. Nursery experience in a level 2 nursery or higher acuity for SCN positions.

Preferred Skillset/Experience: Fetal Monitoring, stabilization of a neonate, trouble shooting high acuity situations and good triage assessment skills

Common Diagnosis/Treatment: Labor, GDM, Hypertension, IUGR, Macrosomia, Drug use in pregnancy
