Experience

24 months of Postpartum experience is required.

Experience with Meditech is preferred.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 36 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Additional Details:

Shifts: 6:45AM-7:15PM and 6:45PM-7:15AM. Will work 3-4 (12 hour) weekend shifts on a 28 day schedule.

There is self-scheduling in Women’s Services and will be given to the staff first, then travelers. The Director and leaders will then balance the schedule based on experience and skill set.

Will rotate working in the nursery; will go to the OR and help with skin to skin and will be the baby nurse while Mom is in recovery. Will provide breast feeding support. May be responsible for managing post partum patients on magnesium sulfate drip.

Ratio is 1:3, but will adjust if patient is an unstable magnesium sulfate drip.

May float to L&D and take care of a stable couplet once repair is complete and baby is stable, or may float to Pediatrics and serve as an extra set of hands. Pediatrics has a low average daily census.

Scrubs: Any color of professional scrubs. No other facility names or logos permitted on the scrubs.
