Experience
24 months of role experience is required.
36 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience is required.
3 months of experience with Epic is preferred.
References
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 36 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Obstetric, L&D, antepartum, triage, postpartum MgSo4, pre E Pregnancy, accept 23+ weeks; Gestational hypertension, Gestational diabetes, No cardiac intervention- they will take occasional higher risk patients

Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes

Common titratable &/or set rate drips: pitocin, mag, occasional Insulin drips

Do RNs scrub?: Yes, prefer if they are able to scrub

Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips?: Remote tele capable unit- infrequent tele patient, (if remote tele they will have a monitor tech) RN would be expected to read tele in Phase 1 recovery for csection only (not a hard stop/preferred)

Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): done 6 weeks in advance, cognizant of sleep schedules. Manager to make the schedule, will work with block scheduling. Rotation will not occur more than weekly.

Weekend Requirements: Every third

Holiday Requirements: As needed

Is there a call or standby requirement? n/a, optional overtime opportunities

Floating Requirements: Postpartum for assignment, Peds, NICU, med/surg, PCU, ICU, ED, Psych units as 1:1 sitter or helping hands

Scrub Color/Dress code: surgical scrubs provided

How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 2- 12 hour shifts on the unit

Additional Notes: High patient satisfaction in department

Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.

RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
