24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience is required.
Experience with Epic is required.

Additional Details:

Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Every Other Weekend.Day- Sat & Sun.

May be asked to go in the Holiday Rotation

May be called off, if needed.

Typically, 2 designated triage rooms. See 4-5 triage patients per day that go home. Does not include admitted patients.

Variable, we average 5-6 deliveries/day, 150-180 delivers/month.

Follow AWHONN staffing guidelines: 1:1 for Intra, 1:1-3 for Antepartum and 1:3-4 for PP/MB

Common diagnoses/Types of patients: 30+ wks, will stablize and shipout babies under 30 wks

Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must Have: 2 years of L&D experience and some postpartum experience

Must be comfortable working in both L&D and Postpartum

Must have the ability to work with high risk patients

Must be able to circulate in c-sections

Prefer somone who has worked in a similar size L&D and PP/MB dept

Prefer Epic experience- please call out the last time they used Epic

RNs required to titrate drips

RNs are not expected to read and interpret their own tele strips, but should be able to identify a rhythm change, basic rhythms, and life-threatening rhythms.

Floating Requirements: L&D and PP/MB are primary units. Can be floated throughout the hospital for sitter shifts when necessary. Travelers are typically the first to float for sitter shifts.

Scrub Color/Dress code "RNs: Navy Blue Scrubs

Level 3 NICU that supports 30+ wks.

Resource Nurse- does not take a patient assignment unless absolutely necessary, will assist with triage, caring for baby at deliveries, assisting staff, and more.
