Previous perm staff must be gone for 2 years before they are eligible to return in a traveler capacity. No exceptions.
Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.

Floating Requirements: Required to float to Stepdown. If not needed in Stepdown, would be required to float to Med-Surg/Telemetry or to care for Stepdown or ICU patients being boarded in the Emergency Department. Floating to Med surg is rare. If floated, they will take a full load of 5-6 patients. Travelers float in rotation, not always the first to float.
Beds: 18 (eventually 27 beds)
Ratios: 1 nurse to 2 patients, sometimes 3 patients in the ICU (could be an overflow or PCU downgrade for the 3rd patient)
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Critically ill patients with complex needs and actual or potential life threatening conditions, invasive and non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring, Sepsis, Acute MI, Renal patients, Post vascular procedures; strokes, TIA, Seizures. Age population served is pediatrics, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Impella- preferred- Would be nice to have someone experienced.
Experience: CRRT and IABP preferred
Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Levophed, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, Insulin
